Homebrew Mastery

Homebrew Beer

Way back when I was a kid, my father and one of my uncles would make homebrew beer. We didn't have any type of refrigeration so they would bottle the beer in fruit jars, put them in an old wash tub, and store them under the house where it was cool.

My brother, a cousin and my self would crawl under the house from the other side and sneak one of those fruit jars, and take it down to the barn. We would crawl up in the barn loft and start passing it around in a circle. Just about the time the jar was about finished, we were pretty much finished our selves. Messed up, sick, turning green.

At that time I didn't know what good beer was suppose to taste like but let me tell you it was pretty darn good.

When I got old enough to drink I hardly ever would. I still don't drink very much but I do like a cold beer on a hot day. One day I got to thinking about that brew and how good it tasted. I wondered if I could brew some beer that tasted that good. I didn't have the slightest idea where to start. Although I watched my father and uncle Make the beer I could not remember how they did it. I guess I was just too young.

Later I ran across an ad from this guy in Australia about making homebrew. I thought what the heck would this guy from another continent know about making American beer.

Well it turns out that it doesn't matter where you are from, beer is beer. If you get the right methods down you can duplicate any beer you want. You can even duplicate your favorite store bought beer.

I had to do a little experimenting to get that old taste back that I remembered, But I got it.

If you want to make good homebrew beer, just follow this guys advise. If you want to make beer with a kit, the information is free. Take advantage of the free reports, they are very informative.
